Nara Park-Smith

2003 - 2018

 

Sweet little Nara was born April 2003 in Seoul, South Korea. She passed on August the 23, 2018 in Burlington, Canada.

Nara is the apple of our eyes and our little girl. If we could thank Heaven for the gifts it has given us, Nara would be foremost in our gratitude. Each day Nara let her love be known, and each night she did the same as she slept snuggled beside us. Shy, yet curious and playful, Nara filled our days with absolute joy. Energetic, yet contemplative and affectionate, Nara was a beacon of love and companionship. In many ways, she was also like a teacher for her parents. We both realised how much we had yet to learn about the purest and most important elements of love until we were able to look back on our lives together, and Nara taught us those lessons. She taught us that love needed daily attention and effort, but rather than effort born of work, it was effort born of humility and joy. She taught us that love could not always be easily understood, but with patience and care, cat-toys and kisses, the message was clear. Nara taught us that being yourself meant loving unabashedly, with mistakes seen as lessons, never a judgement. Nara taught us that the simplest joys were the richest and most cherished of all. Our little Nara, the most affectionate and loving little girl anyone would know; we are and continue to be so proud and so very grateful to have been her loving family all these years.
